IMPORTANT NOTE for all Prints and DPIs in all categories:

  • All images, whether DPI or Print, must be given a title.
  • For Prints the title must be put on the rear of the image.
  • If it is not obvious which way up the image should be presented please write TOP on the back of the image or mountboard.
  • For DPIs the images must be saved as a JPEG (.jpg) with the Title of the image as the filename, e.g. Great_Photo.jpg.
  • You MUST NOT include your name, initials or any identifying marks in your title.
  • Digital images can be uploaded to the CPC members’ area on the website or brought into club on a USB stick.
  • It is suggested that a resolution of 96ppi (sometimes referred to in software as dpi) is used when saving your digital images for submission as a projected image.  For printing, 300ppi is more appropriate to ensure high quality.
  • It is recommended that when saving an image to JPEG (.jpg) the maximum quality of 100% should be selected. Otherwise small image sizes (if quality is set to say 50%) could affect image quality.
