The Club meeting on the 1st November 2019 was organised by one of our new members, Roy McDine and his wife Sue. The event was a photoshoot where a great bunch of 17 people, from the 'Heart of the South West Pirate Crew' came along dressed in amazing costumes, and make-up with lots of props. Swords, Pistols, Axes, Hangman Ropes and wonderful clothes provided an excellent opportunity for all Club Members to practice their photographic art and skills.
We met in the Village Hall at Neston, a change from our regular haunt in Church House, Corsham, so we could make better use of a larger space which was definitely needed with the numbers of people that attended.
The whole evening was a great success, with a buzzing atmosphere, and lots of noise, especially when the pistols were fired. It was a great opportunity for members to practice their low light camera skills, with a number of dark and themed backdrops. We got a lot of varied images from detailed close-up shots, intimate individual portraits, and group shots.
It's difficult to describe the event in words, so here are a selection of member's photos taken on the night.
If you have an interest in Photography, and would like to connect with other people to learn more and share experiences, then feel free to come along to one of our meetings. We are a small club based in the centre of Corsham and are always pleased to welcome new members.
