The Corsham Photographic Club is a long established, friendly club, for anyone interested in all aspects of photography, based in the center of the lovely town of Corsham. We welcome new members from all of the outlying villages and towns including Chippenham, Box, Trowbridge and Melksham.
We normally meet every other week at the Meeting Place, in Church St, Corsham on a Friday Evening from 19:30 to 21:30 (ish) between the months of September and July.
Our annual programme typically features a mixture of topics, so some nights we may have a visiting guest speaker, to talk about a subject that is passionate to their interests, skills and experience. We combine this with club nights, where we will either have members present a technique, or subject they are interested in or we may organise an out and about event where we explore a location close to us for some specific type of photography. Some evenings may be dedicated to just looking through and discussing each others images and learning new skills and techniques from other members of the club, or having specific subject related topics presented by external experts.
A number of Club Competitions are held during the year, where members are welcome to submit Photographic Prints and Digital Images, in a number of categories. These are judged by invited external judges, or by members of the club, dependent on the type of competition, and we award a number of prizes / trophies during the year at our Annual Prize Giving evening.
We also have occasional battles with other local groups where we have the opportunity to see how our images stack up against the images from other, more often than not, larger clubs.
If you have an interest in photography and would like to meet up and share ideas with like minded people, then feel free to come along and join us free of charge for a few evenings. Whether you have a camera on a phone, a small digital compact camera or a digital SLR or Drone we welcome all who are interested in capturing and sharing their photographic images and skills.
